Parts Clerk

Cardinal and Sawquip International Inc., belonging to the Cardinal Group, are two manufacturers of equipment mainly intended for sawmills.

The two companies design, manufacture and assemble state-of-the-art sawmill equipment for the primary and secondary breakdown of hardwood and lumber for local and foreign markets.

The team is currently looking for a dynamic and organized person to occupy the position of parts clerk.

This position can be based in Lanoraie (Lanaudière) at Sawquip International Inc. or in Angliers (Abitibi-Témiscamingue) at the Distribution Cardinal mill.

Tasks and responsibilities

The principale tasks are :

  • Support customer requests and orders by phone and email.
  • Answer phone calls, give prices and any other information.
  • Identify the required parts using catalogs or a computerized system.
  • Establish invoices, collect customer payments.
  • Prepare shipping documentation.
  • Prepare parts shipment.
  • Coordinate parts shipments to national and international customers.
  • Maintain the inventory.
  • Keep computer information up to date.
  • Proactively follow up on the needs of active clients.
  • Provide excellent customer service and help with customer retention.
  • Solicit inactive customers and support the sales and service department.
  • Share growth opportunities with other members of the Cardinal Group.
  • Develop supplier relationships.
  • Participate in purchasing and support other buyers of the Cardinal Group.
  • Support the shipping and receiving of goods.

Required profil

  • Independence

  • Ability to work with computers.
  • Average bilingualism, both oral and written (French, English)
  • Knowledge of sawmill equipment, is an asset

Financial Controller

The Cardinal-Labranche Group includes four (4) companies: Distribution Cardinal, Sawquip International, Les Entreprises Forestières V. Labranche, and Copeaux Temiscamingue. These companies operate in different business sectors.

Distribution Cardinal and Sawquip International are mainly sawmill equipment manufacturers.

Les Entreprises Forestières V. Labranche offer services surrounding forestry, transportation of wood and chips, cutting, grinding and shredding residues.

Finally, Copeaux Temiscamingue is a mill that transforms wood into chips.

The chosen candidate will therefore have the opportunity to manage the administrative team and support the financial activities of all four (4) companies.

Tasks and responsibilities

The principale tasks are :

  • Lead the financial planning and accounting practices of the company.
  • Actively participate in the operational and strategic decision-making.
  • Plan, structure and optimize activities such as treasury, audit of the books, production of monthly and annual reports, tax declarations, internal control, payroll, accounts payable, asset management, insurance , collection of accounts receivable, inter-company transactions and budgeting.
  • Support divisions in inventory management.
  • Negotiate and maintain links with financial institutions for lines of credit, loans and inventory line of credit.
  • Plan purchases in foreign currencies and manage the exchange line.
  • Work in collaboration with human resources on different mandates.

Required profil

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience
  • Ability to cope with a large volume of work and a wide variety of files / Ability to manage stress well
