By combining two vertical and two horizontal chipping heads with a circular saw edger, logs can be processed into finished lumber in a single pass.
The unit is compact with its special designed infeed belt or “V” chain conveyors and transition and hold-down rolls between chipping head and saws.

This multi-function edger was developed by Sawquip to process both cants and boards into finished lumber products.

The Slabber produces a chipped face on a log which in combination with a band saw produces an un-edged board eliminating any round-back slabs.
